The blooming flower symbolizes birth or the coming of something new. Flowers blooming are associated with arrival of something new and beneficial, or a new beginning.
That incident set her on a path to be closer with her family, since she couldn’t do much on her own due to her narcolepsy leading her to work with her father more. As she grew older she would come in contact with sailors and overhead valuable information that helps her in the future. Those sleeping spells also gave her various visions that inspired her to keep going.
Tubman returned to the south 13 times to rescue her family members and many others from slavery. Later on she took them to Canada.
Tubman meant that she had never failed or been caught on her journeys to the north, along with never having to leave someone behind on her way.
Her pension was $20 a month. She received this pension due to her efforts with the Union army as a spy, scout, and nurse during the civil war. Along with leading a raid in South Carolina.
The visuals show that from her story, others will be inspired to make changes as well. Even in her death her legacy will live on. This is also echoed in her final words, which means that she has set the stage for the next generation to continue the fight for freedom.

1. It symbolizes Harriet Tubman being born. It shows the birth of one of “the American most courageous heroes’ ‘.
2. Her experience at the “Neighborhood Store” caused her an “injury” that made her experience sleeping spells or rather nowadays known as narcolepsy for the rest of her life. I think it definitely helped her in many ways. She was able to stay close to her father and not be sold to other buyers. She learned to lumber and that’s what led her to having contacts with sailors and learned about the secret communication that happened in the trading routes. Which helped her do the brave things she did later in her life.
3. She returned 13 times to free her niece, brothers, parents, and others.
4. She wanted to show the audience that she always kept going. She wanted them to know that she had goals that she obtained and even though many people thought her goals were unachievable she achieved them and succeeded. She didn’t want anyone to turn abc and give and show that she never lost and always reached her goals and got people where they were supposed to be.
5. She was granted $20 a month for veteran’s pension for her service in the Union Army.
6. She said “I go away to prepare a place for you.” as a new flower grew and she wanted to symbolize another hero or another person being born for people to stand up for one another. In the beginning the flower grew, representing the birth of her as a hero, so she wants this new flower to be someone else to continue in her footsteps. A place for you to continue where she left and stopped.
