By being able to learn the five cores of interprofessional education, it can help students’ learn and have the experience on how to fully engage and work with other healthcare teams. Overall, early exposure to interprofessional collaboration and communication have the potential on improving collaboration with other healthcare professionals that can result in high quality of care and improved patient outcomes.

Many forces, trends, and issues can influence curriculum development, including advances in medical technology, changes in healthcare policy, and an increasing focus on patient-centered care. 
One way the nursing curricula should change to prepare new graduate nurses for their roles is to incorporate interprofessional education. Interprofessional education is when student nurses practice working with other disciplines like pharmacy, respiratory, and providers to improve patient outcomes, enhance teamwork and communication, and promote safety (Crampsey et al., 2022). Opportunities to train together can include interprofessional seminars and conferences. This will help the new nurse understand other roles while learning to work together. 
Another way to prepare new graduate nurses for their roles is to incorporate technology. Technology and data analytics are rapidly changing how nurses care for their patients due to their core belief in evidence-based practice. Wilson (2022) mentioned that nursing curricula should include informatics, data analytics, and telehealth to prepare nurses for the evolving healthcare system. This would include training nurses to collect, analyze and use the data to justify and improve patient care and outcomes.
